Random Thoughts

"Chuck, you always write best when you are hurting. Now that Pix isn't coming back, why haven't you suddenly gotten prolific?"

Well, I AM sad that Pix decided to go her own way, but I AM content, all in all. I like living in Virginia Beach quite a lot, and I love my job. I enjoy working with my peeps, and the nights I go out [Wednesday night, The German Pantry and Friday, Logan's Roadhouse], I have a good time and enjoy the company of the regulars there.

Did I mention I am working a lot of overtime? My partner quit, so I am safety guy at two places, and QA at one of them. Lots of coffee, lots of Monster Energy Drinks. I woke up at 3:30 yesterday. Work at 7, got off at 5:30, ran and did pullups, ate, couldn't sleep!! I live under the approach to NAS Oceana, and the F/A-18's were cycling last night until 11 [plus the random C-9 and helo] - so much out of the ordinary air traffic that I coulda swore that we had a new war going on.....

So, that's MY story. Prolific? Naw, just sleepy.

I'll trade you the air traffic for my snowplows. It's usually the lights that wake me up. I hearts having to ice skate down the hill in my driveway to get to the sidewalk.

Oh well, at least it freaking looks like Christmastime this year. I suppose I should just count my blessings.

Nor'easter due in Saturday. Time for frozen pizza, microwave popcorn and movie rentals!!!!!!

Happy Wednesday, Chuck.

PS- Catch the Golden Compass? I'd be curious to what you thought. I thought it was good- a tad rushed, but pretty good. Also got my nephew his first Sox jersey for Christmas! Meep!

Gosh yer cute, Mellie!

Hope the weather relents a bit for y'all - finally winter here [it's in the Fifties ;-) hahaha!]

Sorry I han't written - I fell asleep last night at 7:30!!

Golden Compass? Aye, I liked it, but it DID seem a tad rushed as you mentioned. I would have enjoyed a longer movie with more character development. The ending WAS severely truncated - what an obvious sequel coming on, eh? Oh, and Nicole Kidman STILL knocks my sox off [yeah, I have a thing for shoeless flying witch-archers, too ;-) ]

I have no problems saying that Serafina is damn cute. Nicole is pretty and elegant, but I'd want to bring the actress who plays Serafina home. ;)

This is what happens when you have a lot of alternative lifestyle friends at school with no personal boundaries. I have girl crushes everywhere! Good thing Seth is a pretty secure guy. :D

I remember my only Christmas in NOLA, and it was 70 degrees and sunny with green trees, etc. Ever want to see a New England girl completely tweak? Put her in the Deep South for a Christmas. It's never pretty.

:-) Seth is a trooper, pure and simple.

A NE girl in NOLA? Au contraire, mon cherie ;-)
