Pictures of Springtime

I posted some of these thoughts over at Club Bronx, but no worry: let me expound upon them...

There's a lot of good in the photos I have seen from camp so far... Bruney, Farns. Both with more hair than I remember, Bruney's is flipping in the back, like mine is [when it gets warmer, I will go back to the military look] and Krazy Kyle with any hair at all - looks like an entirely new person! Maybe that is what he is going for.....

Edwar yukking it up with both Mariano and Igawa. Seems that Mo is mentoring the thin man a bit, and I sure hope something rubs off.... Iggy seems loose, and is determined to start, even if it means doing so in Scranton. Good for him!

Joe G. and his girls. Now THAT was cute :-) Made ME smile....

Good to see Cash getting some sun [memo to Brian: lose the Charlie Brown shirt!]. Nice to see Troy Hawk, I hear he's a really good guy.

I like the one, intense, look from Phil Hughes: that dude is going to be scary, someday. Nice to see Joba all smiles. IPK has a lil' double chin!! haha!

Here's the best part: Moose looked good and relaxed, both. That bodes well for us. Maybe a harbinger of a better year for him, even one last hurrah will do. We need you, Mike. Let's get that elusive #27.

Ah, Pavano.... first in the picture album and then no other photos. Handsome lad, really. We WANTED to like him, well and truly we did. He'd have been such a picture as a Yankee success story. What havoc karma has wreaked in cases, now and again.

Oh, pumpkin...it's a long road from scary look to 'oh sh*t, please don't tell me they're putting that psycho on the mound' a la Paps. He's flipping certifiable. And that's why we love him. :D

I'm excited to see a full season of Jacoby in the same line up with Petey and Youk...and I think Manny's gonna be freaking unbelievable this year (contract, anyone?). And with Schill out, I think Lester and Clay will step up big time. Oh yeah, and an adjusted Matsuzaka and Okajima will be pretty rough on orders. The AL east is in for one hell of a ride, for sure.

...one more thing: when y'all make an early exit again this year, the Captain's always welcome to come cry on my shoulder. ;D

Kitten, the word is "intense" when describing the look of one Phil Phranchise... Paps? We've already solved his aura of invincibility ;-)

This IS going to be a fine season as we whack each other to and fro. I'll see if Cap will play after we win the WS [27], although he seems to prefer Jessicas from Hollywood ;-)

Don't worry, princess, I will still speak in a gentlemanly fashion after we win, and will see that you have a shoulder for your own Visine ;-)

Psh. Puh-lease, sweet pea. If our line up was *half* as old and creaky, you might have a shot. Plus, I'm not liking your chances since Hank and Hal can't seem to agree on squat except they disagree.

Surely we know Paps is not invincible. But that psychopathic edge he carries tends to make more than a few batters quake.

As for the Captain...I can change my name. there's still plenty of time for me to make it in Hollywood. If only I didn't feel so strongly that what I do is more important than what any airheaded starlet does. He can have his fun, I'll be waiting when he's ready to settle down with a nice, sensible girl.

And nothing, absolutely nothing, could make me cry more than last week- comparatively speaking, either team winning or losing the world series is peanuts.

Well, mon cher`, you ARE both sensitive, and sensible :-)

I plan on eating them peanuts, donchaknow?

My nutritionist says peanuts are good for you. So is humble pie. ;)

Also- if you're still looking for a more spiritually satisfying mexican meal, if you come and visit I'll take you over to the Sunset Cantina near BU, where I had the most fabulous veggie quesadilla I've ever had. )And they have real actual shrimp po' boys with remoulade and jambalaya with andouille!!!!!!) Plus, it's pretty cheap, which is always good.
