Big Victories

Evidently the Red Sox had a bag of Colorado Kryptonite, sweeping the Rockies in four games.
Rocktober, indeed. Congratulations are in order to Sox fans everywhere.

Now, on to really important stuff: will Don Mattingly, Joe Girardi, or Tony Pena replace Joe Torre as manager of the Yankees? Lots of personnel issues to resolve, including ten days for A-Rod to opt out of his contract or not. [My $$$ is on a contract extension, btw].

Happy Monday, everybody :-)

Back to the pumpkin and the fireplace, Cinderella! Really, I didn't expect to see another Series...we were pretty happy with the one, this one is just icing.

Anywho- depending on the parade times...do I get the flu tonight or Wednesday? Mwahahaha!

Other notes: Is there a reason Theo wasn't waiting for Lowell with the MVP trophy and a four year 52 million deal???? PAY THE MAN!!!!!!!!

Happiest of Mondays, Chuck!

Oh, and the Black Bears picked up both at Northeastern, making them 4-2-0 over all, and 2-0-0 in Hockey East play. But I know how you feel about Georgia....Feel the same way about UNH, aka The University of No Hardware. My favorite chant when they come to town? "We've got two, how 'bout you?" (NCAA Div. I Men's Hockey champs '92 & '99(over UNH, coincidentally and sent them home in 02 during the semis with a 7-2 spanking), with 11 straight playoff runs and six consecutive Frozen Four apperances.)

Gosh, Mellie, that's just so lovable!!

Series wins, they're like those potato chips of yore [and lore!] Ya just wanna keep indulging. Well, maybe Colorado would be satisfied with ONE, and the Devil Rays [luckless bastards] would probably be happy to experience what Colorado just experienced, but like I've said, it ain't easy bein an Evil Empire. Personally, I relish it ;-)

Theo? Lowell? Hmmm......
Lowes at third, A-Rod at SS?
Lugo, which rhymes with "Yugo" [as in "Communist-built Fiat"] relegated to the junkyard?
Stay tuned.....
Same bat time....
Same bat channel....

Hey! Great sports weekend for you, dearie! Mine was completely opposite, but things will improve - we're having another Cup of Joe to go with the Big Apple ;-)

University of No Hardware?
That's pretty funny.

Another hated rival is Florida State. FSU. Burt Reynolds went there, played halfback [as Buddy Reynolds] back in the early/mid Fifties.... anyway, some of their football team was once arraigned for stealing shoes from the Foot Locker store in the mall. Steve Spurrier, when he was our ol' ball coach [Saint Steve, Coach Superior] quipped at a Bull Gator meeting: "FSU? What's that stand for? Free Shoes University?" Man, we love that guy. Even in South Carolina, whose abbreviation should be SCar. Think about it.

Anyway, thank you for faithfully popping in, mon cherie. Always a pleasure :-) Laissez le bon temps rouler and be careful in the celebration!! [Please?]
