No, not Denton True. We've got Cy Wang, and a good thing, too. Three games dropped to the Tigers. Evidently the Tigers HAD to win at some point. CM Wang, going tonight in The Stadium against Erik Bedard, late of Baltimore but now toiling for Seattle. Seems like every time we turn around, Wang is stopping another losing streak, so Providence [Diving, not the home of PawSox] has seen fit for the man to go 5-0. If he wins 33 or 34 games, would we still finish in the middle of the AL East? I know that's not likely, he's GOT to lose a game at some point, but Gator was 25-3 in 1978, and even Aaron Small went 10-0 at one point. Sorry, Ian: I'm falling off the bandwagon.
So, now that Phil Hughes is hurt and on the DL until July, is it time to put Joba into the rotation? Thoughts, please.

On Hughes: Ouchies! Oowowowow. No wonder he was getting shelled if he'd hurt that.
On Joba: I think that he wouldn't, after three or four innings, have the same zip on his pitches as he does as a setup man. He hasn't been conditioned for it, isn't mentally ready for it, and all it could take is one good shelling to ruin him. I think he's best as a closer/set up man. Once a rotation goes around, they have started to figure him out-do that the 30-40ish games a season, and he won't be as terrifying a prospect. Leave him be. At least for the rest of this season or send him down to condition as a starter. Hank has to learn he can't have his cake and eat it too.
Although, if it potentially means disaster for NY.....count me in on the bandwagon! :)
Tough loss last night, but I'm not gonna worry about it. Good series, though. Lester's gonna be *disgusting*, and it's nice to see Dice-K attack guys with the fastball instead of nibbling at corners. The Jays really are too good to expect a sweep.
Almost forgot, Chuck- how's that basement looking? You guys gonna put up some wallpaper down there or what? ;) Tampa must make some real nice neighbors.
Basement? It lacks a woman's touch, mon cherie`.... Interested? ;-) haha!
Tampa neighbors? You can call 'em Ray, you can call 'em.... SoxMasters? xoxo
You're a brat. Lucky I like you. Besides, I moved out of the basement long time ago.
And I would definitely not call a couple close wins against a team that was pretty much puking its guts out out in the outfield masters of anything. Besides, you guys are the ones who got spanked by double digits. ;)
Brat? Spanking? Hmmmmm..... interesting, where THIS is all headed. Yes, I AM a brat. And YOU like bad boys. Fess up, cher`! hahaha
I think you are right about Hank, though - he wants to have his cake and eat it, too [Joba]. Hope this doesn't screw things up re: Joba's arm....
Hope ya like the article on Big Stein I sent ya on yer yahoo account :-) Great website! [canna wait for Larry Lucchino to show up ;-)]
