Moose just got clubbed for seven in the first. It's at the Stadium, so the Yanks have all nine innings to go. So much for being the stopper. Ohly's in already.
{Post-game Update} Ended up 12-2, so we now turn to our new[est] stopper, Darrell Rasner. Ras is 2-0 this season, with an ERA of 3.00, albeit a 12 inning limited sample size.
A-Rod homered in his first game back :-)
Jeets was hit on the hand by a pitch and is listed as day-to-day. [Sorry, Melanie!] With the Attorney General in there, we'll have great leather, but a bit less pop.

The question marks strike again. Here's the thing- last year, everyone knew the Yanks weren't as bad as the record indicated. This season, they just look...bad. It's an odd shift, but I'll take 7 1/2 over 14 any day.
Seth told me about the captain...that sucks, but it does happen sometimes. I doubt it was deliberate. Cabrera's been struggling with control all season.
On our end, the C's picked up the W over Detroit, and young Justin Masterson picks up his first major league win (the kid is *disgusting* and I can't believe he's only in AA Portland....) 6 1/3, 0 R 3 H 2 W, at least 4 K's.
Next up: Bartolo Colon, who's ERA with the PawSox is a disgusting .64
How is it even with our injuries(and sometimes shaky 'pen) we're finding ways to win and y'all aren't?
Thanks for the good words on Lester. He's a really good kid and has the makings of a really great pitcher. Now I wish (for all our patients and survivors) that they would consider him a good pitcher in his own right, regardless of his cancer survival. Survivors are people too- some of them just had to take a longer road to get where they're at. Doesn't necessarily make them more or less remarkable than anyone else. ;)
For sure, my sweet, for sure! It's a marathon, not a sprint, and while I would prefer to be ahead of everyone else by 7 1/2, I'd choose 7.5 down over 14 down!
I agree on Cabrera. Strangely, people have been wondering if this is the season he finally pinpoints the strike zone. Guess not. Glad to see Cap back on the field so soon :-) Lou Gehrig would be proud.
I kinda see Big Bart Colon as an equivalent to Carl Pavano, except Bart seems to have intestinal fortitude [not meaning that in a funny way]. Carla should be off the DL in a few weeks... oh, joy! Want 'im back?
